Big Mountain/TV3's ‘The Tenements’ was substantially filmed at No7 Henrietta St. The Winston family who have a direct link to the house spent three days and two nights in No 7 in the room where they once lived. The production team with the help and assistance of the present building owners picked this house to recreate the conditions of 1911.

Monday 28th February will see two productions from Newry and Dundalk based Big Mountain Productions broadcast on BBC1 NI. On BBC2 NI at 10pm you can catch ‘Imeall Geal’, a lively 10 part entertainment and music series in the Irish language which was filmed in front of an audience in The Sean Hollywood Centre and produced in Newry. Guests in the upcoming series include Horslips, General Fiasco, Mick Flannery and young football sensation recently signed to Man United, Joe Coll and GAA pundit Jarlath Burns.

The 10 part entertainment, music and chat show returned to BBC 2 NI at the start of the Summer with a second series. As well as lively chat about Wwoofing, Couchsurfing, Beauty Pageants and Irish Dancing, Imeall Geal welcomed big music acts playing to a local intimate audience. Tomaí Ó Conghaile and Gráinne McElwain returned to their old stomping ground in the auditorium at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre to present the popular entertainment show were they where joined by a live studio audience.

We use the original documentary as our touchstone, tracking the family’s progress and bringing it up to date with Tiago’s new life in Northern Ireland and get under the skin of what it’s really like to be an immigrant here and how perceptions are changing in this mid-ulster town.
