Pact and a delegation of UK indies are currently meeting with international buyers at Realscreen Summit, the definitive global market and conference for the business of unscripted and non-fiction entertainment, which is taking place in New Orleans for the first time. Delegates took part in a special parade through the streets of the city before getting down to business.

Over 80 UK indies are in New Orleans to promote their content and do deals. The USA is the UK’s largest single export market, with sales worth £335m recorded in the latest Pact TV Exports Report (LINK TO BE ADDED), representing 40% of total international revenue. Entertainment and Factual are also known to be successful genres for UK indies, counting for £87m in international sales.

NATPE

Last week, UK indies were out in force at NATPE, in Miami, to meet with buyers from the USA and another popular market for UK content, Latin America. As ever, Beer With The Brits proved to be a hit for networking, and delegates also had the chance to meet Nicolette Brent MBE, Her Majesty’s Consul General in Miami.

Both Pact-sponsored delegations are supported by the Department for International Trade.
